centenaria<\/strong>\u00a0ubicada en una\u00a0<strong>finca hist\u00f3rica de la Denominaci\u00f3n de Origen Costers del Segre<\/strong>, donde los primeros vestigios de actividad vin\u00edcola se remontan a siglos atr\u00e1s.<\/p><p>Es la\u00a0<strong>bodega m\u00e1s antigua de Catalu\u00f1a<\/strong>\u00a0en la elaboraci\u00f3n y etiquetaje de vinos finos de crianza, y tambi\u00e9n la <strong>primera\u00a0bodega catalana construida seg\u00fan el modelo tipo bordel\u00e9s<\/strong>\u00a0de\u00a0<em>ch\u00e2teau<\/em>\u00a0rodeado de vi\u00f1edos.<\/p><p>Se nutre de las\u00a0<strong>uvas procedentes de la finca y de parcelas de vi\u00f1edos de monta\u00f1a de la propiedad<\/strong>. Est\u00e1\u00a0<strong>dirigida por su propietario, el vitivinicultor Tom\u00e0s Cusin\u00e9<\/strong>, reconocido en\u00f3logo y considerado uno de los mejores ensambladores de vinos del pais.<\/p><p>Las caracter\u00edsticas de Castell del Remei como hacienda vin\u00edcola son tan interesantes como su larga historia y, juntamente con el valor patrimonial del complejo, completan un\u00a0<strong>conjunto sin parang\u00f3n en las regiones viticultoras del sur de Europa<\/strong>.<\/p><p>Se emplaza en el t\u00e9rmino municipal de Penelles, perteneciente a la comarca de La es de clima mediterraneo-continental: amplia oscilaci\u00f3n t\u00e9rmica, con\u00a0<strong>inviernos muy fr\u00edos y veranos calurosos<\/strong>; baja pluviometr\u00eda y una humedad media. En esta comarca predominan los vientos del oeste y del noroeste, que se acent\u00faan en primavera. El m\u00e1s preciado es\u00a0<strong>la marinada que, en las calurosas tardes de verano, llega para refrescar la uva<\/strong>. Otra de las singularidades clim\u00e1ticas de la zona son las persistentes\u00a0<strong>nieblas en invierno<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Los suelos de la propiedad son predominantemente Arcilo-calc\u00e1reos. Las parcelas de vi\u00f1edos se sit\u00faan en el lecho del mar interior que ocupaba buena parte de la Depresi\u00f3n Central durante la era Cenozoica y se emplazan en suelos f\u00e9rtiles de composici\u00f3n mayoritariamente aluvial. La bodega dispone de unas <strong>100 hect\u00e1reas de vi\u00f1edos<\/strong>\u00a0en propiedad. El cultivo de la mayor parte de la vi\u00f1a (80%) tiene lugar en vi\u00f1edos de las monta\u00f1as cercanas al Castell, a una<strong>\u00a0altitud (entre 700 y 800 metros)<\/strong>, sobre suelos de textura franca (franco limoso o franco arcilloso) con abundante presencia de gravas, las cuales permiten un buen drenaje.<\/p>\n<p>En cuanto a la composici\u00f3n varietal, incluye las<strong> vi\u00f1as aut\u00f3ctonas<\/strong>\u00a0(garnacha, tempranillo, cari\u00f1ena, trepat, malvas\u00eda y macabeo) a las que se sumaron en su momento las de\u00a0<strong>origen franc\u00e9s que Castell del Remei introdujo en la pen\u00ednsula<\/strong>\u00a0en el siglo XIX (cabernet sauvignon, syrah, chardonnay, sauvignon blanco).<\/p>\n<p>La edad media de las cepas supera los 25 a\u00f1os y las vi\u00f1as est\u00e1n conducidas en emparrado, de acuerdo con el sistema de doble cord\u00f3n (Royat Doble), con una densidad de plantaci\u00f3n de entre 4.000 y 5.000 plantas\/hect\u00e1rea.<\/p>\n<p>Las\u00a0<strong>instalaciones originales de la bodega<\/strong>\u00a0comprenden una superficie total de<strong>\u00a05.500 m2<\/strong>\u00a0y est\u00e1n distribuidas en seis naves adosadas, construidas sobre piedra, con una estructura de hierro forjado y muros de hasta 100 cm de ancho.<\/p>\n<p>Actualmente, las estancias destinadas a la crianza alojan aproximadamente\u00a0<strong>1.000 barricas<\/strong>\u00a0(de roble franc\u00e9s y americano, al 50%), mientras que la zona de vinificaci\u00f3n est\u00e1 equipada con dep\u00f3sitos de acero inoxidable termorregulados, prensas neum\u00e1ticas y otras herramientas t\u00e9cnicas de \u00faltima generaci\u00f3n que permiten elaborar\u00a0<strong>anualmente m\u00e1s de un mill\u00f3n de botellas de vino<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Castell del Remei hace una\u00a0<strong>gesti\u00f3n ecol\u00f3gica y sostenible de la vi\u00f1a<\/strong>. Adem\u00e1s, se minimizan los tratamientos para favorecer el desarrollo vegetativo de las cepas.<\/p>\n<p>En este sentido, cabe destacar que en Castell del Remei se promueve la\u00a0<strong>investigaci\u00f3n<\/strong>\u00a0en los \u00e1mbitos de la viticultura y la enolog\u00eda en una apuesta clara por la ecolog\u00eda y por
