A rich and creamy white wine with marked acidity that ensures firm longevity. The ripe fruit and emerging minerality are present both on the nose and palate.
New oak barrels are used for the fermentation and aging of selected old vines for this classic with wood. Blended wines, with a mix, are the axis of the sought-after balance and polyhedral profile, distilling history while showcasing avant-garde and modernity without forgetting their origins.
Wine type: Full-bodied and rich white, fermented and aged in wood.
Varieties: Macabeo and Chardonnay.
Elaboration: Fermentation starts in stainless steel tanks. Before completing the fermentation at a density of 1030, it is transferred to barrels where the fermentation finishes and aging begins. Malolactic fermentation is not performed to maintain natural acidity. Periodic lees stirring according to taste.
Aging: 6 months in first and second-year American oak barrels, with lees stirring.
Denomination of origin: Costers del Segre.
Agriculture: Produced in conversion to organic farming.
Alcohol: 13% vol.
Tasting note: Pale golden color with many reflections. Intense, filling the mouth with rich sensations ranging from toasted and baked apple to freshly cut wood shavings, including butter and pastry flavors. It is unctuous with a long finish.
